With a list of features normally reserved for larger tractors such as a tight 55 degree turning angle, high ground clearance of up to 390 mm and excellent all round visibility for the 60 HP cab units, the new compact Maxxfarm tractor range from Case IH, is ideally suited to horticulture, plantation and orchard crop production and small farms. The Maxxfarm range, includes four models powered by quiet and fuel-efficient four-cylinder engines ranging from the 28 kW (38 HP) Maxxfarm 35 to the 42 kW (57 HP) Maxxfarm 60. “Maxxfarm is the ideal small tractor range,” says Frans Onland, Operations Manager, Case IH NZ Operations. Maxxfarm has the power needed to operate sprayers and high powered tillers in horticultural operations, the compact size and excellent manoeuvrability needed in orchards and plantations and the versatility to handle a wide range of small farm tasks. “The Quick-Attach linkage makes for easy hitching of implements and there are two rear remote valves for hydraulic implements, which is a real bonus on tractors in this size range,” Frans says. “The main hydraulic pump and steering pump are separate, so the machines can cope with heavy loads, and the high capacity hitch can handle up to 1.75 tonnes.”
The tractors are all available with a well-planned platform with foldable ROPS, while the Maxxfarm 60 is also available in a cab model which offers air conditioning, sunroof, dual doors and wide-opening rear windows.” All models are easy to service thanks to thoughtful engine layout and a one-touch bonnet and gas strut provides easy access to all key service points. “This all-new range is stacked with performance-enhancing features that add up to a reliable and powerful farm machine,” Frans says.
